Always a favorite stop when we're in Lake Geneva. Friendly service, cold beer and good food. We've always been there for either lunch or an early dinner and stuck mostly to sandwiches and burgers. Haven't had a bad one yet!

We stopped in before leaving town to have a beverage & enjoyed an appetizer as well. Definitely some place to check out & we'll be back next time we are in town.

Just a very quick review for this one. We went later in the evening for some drinks. They advertised Long Island Iced Teas for $3.50. I had one and I think they forgot to put the alcohol in it. I asked for a menu, but the kitchen was already closed. I'm not sure what time it was, but they did have a popcorn machine going. Cute idea, but it did not work for me.

Food was really good, but the service was awful. Our server did not care at all that we were there. Made us rush through our order, and after our food came she didn't check on us to see how everything was. Also, after we asked twice for more water she STILL did not get us refills, although she had no problem talking to someone else at the bar. Maybe our experience would have been better with a server who actually cared. Oh well, we'll be going somewhere else next time.

Last Saturday night was a little too heavy on the hogs and way too light on the kisses at H&K. The bar was hosting a Shocktop vendor, which was fun, and music strictly from the last century, which was not fun. We were six girls looking for fun, music, dancing and shots. Nothing but the shots happened. The remainder of the crowd were older folks either vacationing in the LG, or clearly had homes there, judging by their tans and comfort in wearing flip flops to a bar. I was told this was the best place to go in Lake Geneva for dancing and getting a little busted. Not much dancing to be done in flipflops to 90's music that makes you want to stay glued to your seat. We thought layout was awkward, too; I think they had Harry Potter set designers in to create their very own Wisconsin labyrinth. Walking in there's a teeny stage to the left, the bar to the right, a smattering of tables and then another elevated area with tables and chairs smashed together. Word to your mother: ditch the tables and chairs and make room for dancing. Maybe lose the Disc-man as a the main source of music and bring in a proper DJ, too... just a thought. I will say our server was really great. She thought we were an odd group of girls for disliking sweet drinks, but otherwise was attentive and didn't stray far. We ditched the pig pen and headed to the Ridge Resort where the hotel bar had better music and a much more exciting atmosphere. Just to repeat, the hotel bar was more fun than the local bar. Get it together H&K.

Seriously not worth you're time. It's tiny, always way to crowded and the bouncers are assholes. Avoid it at all costs, go anywhere else and you will have a better time.

A familiar place that stands the test of time, Hogs & Kisses is always on my list to stop at for a Bloody Mary and a corned beef sandwich when I visit Lake Geneva with my husband or my girlfriends. Today, we braved the blizzard and walked around town ending at Hogs & Kisses. First, they were outside clearing a path for their customers and we're open when many places in town didn't open because of the snow. We were greeted with a smile and sat right away. Our server gave us a bowl of complimentary beef barley soup because of the weather. It was so good, definitely homemade and warmed us up. We each had a bowl soup and a Bloody Mary with a chaser. My husband ordered the brat with sauerkraut and fries and loved it. He said the taste was just like brats he enjoyed on his trips to Germany. I, of course, had the corned beef with chips. I have to say this visit, they skimped on the corned beef as the sandwich was a lot thinner than on previous visits. I had plenty to eat because of the soup, but if I didn't have that I would have been pretty disappointed by this. This was the only negative from my visit today. When the check was brought to us, it came with two chocolate kisses...get it? Nice little touch!

This place reminded me of my undergrad days in DeKalb IL. A run down establishment that plays great music and a younger crowd there just to have fun and socialize. The floors were sticky, the music blaring, and people dancing in every direction. At times it reminded of the thriller music video.

This place hasn't changed in over 20 years, and that's not necessarily a good thing. Not a bad place to grab a quick beer, but the interior is a bit dated. There are better choices in town.

  • Vince L.

Fuck this place. My fiancé tripped on shitty sidewalk and they wouldn't serve her. It was 830. What a joke

Good Cheese curds. Great Chicken Santa Fe salad! Good place to watch sports and enjoy a few frosty beverages and some bar EATS.

We came here to go dancing as part of a bachelorette party. We had a blast! The place had an interesting crowd going on, it did feel a little cramped inside though. Lots of mirrors on the wall which can get a little risky when its so dark in there! I saw a tip that bachelorette parties get free champagne, this wasn't given to us and we were clearly a bachelorette party. Not really offended by this, since it wasn't a needed thing anyways. I recommended this place for a bachelorette party in the future, so I will be back!

    (3)
  • Adam W.

This place sucks. We went there for a bachelor party but they wouldn't let any of the 20 of us in because I wasn't wearing sleeves. Sorry, it was 85 and humid. I guess I won't be visiting them anymore for their mediocre food or crappy drink specials. Shove it, hogs, you are not THAT great to turn down an entire bachelor party because of one tank top on Saturday night. Btw I'm the designated driver.

  • Nektaria R.

This place is tiny but it seems to be the only "happening" place in Lake Geneva. It was perfect for my friends bachelorette party but some of the bartenders have a chip on their shoulder. Probably because they can tell that we're from Chicago. The one instance that stands out in my mind is one of the girls who was sitting in someones seat. Really? Are we in high school and we're suppose to know that the bar stools are designated for certain regulars. Biatch! We are drinking too. Oh well, who care, we still had fun.

  • Catherine H.

This place is a Lake Geneva staple. They have slower pace lunch crowd during the day, but at night this place can be a party scene. Food wise, it's pretty good. My husband ordered the chili and I got a burger. Both of us thought our meals hit the spot. If you are in town go and check this place out.

    (4)
  • Robin R.

Frozen, tasteless burgers as thin as paper with no lettuce or tomato, served cold. Frozen fries, tasteless BBQ pork. Total fail except service was friendly.

We stopped in late morning for a cocktail and quick bite to eat before heading out on the boat. We tried their Reuben sandwich and Crab cake sandwich. Both choices were excellent. The Bloody Mary's were equally good although I would prefer a little more "salad" in my Bloody. All we got was a single celery stick. A few olives and a pickle wedge would have been nice. Anyway, all in all, a good dining experience and we will be back.

  • Amie F.

We went for lunch on a week day afternoon and the bartender was very nice, helped us choose what to get for a starter. We had the crab cakes that they make there - they were amazingly delicious! We also had the cheese curds they were good. We had their special of the day which was a brat with chips. It was a very good brat! Will definitely return here next time I visit Lake Genevia!!!

    (5)
  • William R.

Food quality and customer service appear to be of secondary concern to this business. Salmon sandwich was dry and barely edible. Why is it even on menu? Focus appears to be on being a nightclub. For my one meal in lake geneva...This was a swing and miss. Location is great!

  • Macie R.

We were across the street at Lake Aire, left that place because it was horrible. Ended up at Hogs & Kisses. I was really in the mood for ribs, they were really good!! My husband had the chili. He said it was a layer of cheese like you have on French Onion soup, really good. The only reason for 3 stars, and I really thought about this because I want it to be 4 stars... The table was very tiny. VERY! The French fries were out of the bag, frozen. Table size truly can't change, so that was a small factor. But the fries, come on, homemade is not that difficult. Upgrade those bad boys and the rating will go up to 4 in a heartbeat. I will certainly go back, I just wish the fries were done with a bit more care!

This is one of the first times where I've been really torn about the star rating, so I'm going with three, but I thought long and hard about a four. Let's go to the pros and cons. Pros: 1. Incredible grilled chicken sandwiches. Just about every casual place in the U.S. has some manner of grilled chicken sandwich on their menu. I've sampled a lot of them, and Hogs & Kisses has the best. The chicken tasted like it was cooked on a grill outside and then brought straight to our table. Cons: 1. There's really only one glaring pro. 2. The place seems to attract a very loud crowd. I was there during lunch, and if that's any indication, you must have to scream to be heard late night. 3. You have to pay an extra dollar for fries instead of chips. I'm sorry, but I hate it when places do this. 4. My wife and I asked to have the check split, and when the waitress brought them back, she made some sort of comment about it being lots of paperwork when she's busy. Seemed a bit snide if you ask me. Anything approaching rude service is a big warning flag for me. I can't stress again how great the sandwich was, so if I'm back through Lake Geneva again, I would consider going back despite the other issues.

Fun staff. Tolerated my obnoxious family visiting from out of state. Spotted Cow on tap--10 STARS!!! :) Chili was good, although basically a bowl of meat.

  • Emily R.

This place had really good food for really good prices. As soon as we got there our waitress sat us by the window. She was very nice and made sure everything was going smoothly. She got our orders right away. My boyfriend and I had a great burger and brat for $20 total including drinks. I highly recommend this place.

    (5)
  • Maureen V.

Disappointing. Cheese wasn't even melted on the burgers. Fries were prefab. The only good thing I can say about this place is that it's close to Kilwins chocolate shop.

    (1)
  • Nick M.

Really?! With a name like that how could I not stop in for a drink or two. Personally I like run down beat up kind of bars like this, I think they have character. Don't get me wrong, I prefer clean run down bars of which it is. Lucky or unlucky for me (pending what you like) I came in during the day and in the "off-season" so there were only a few people. I hear this place gets bumping at night being that it's the only "dance" club around. I had a chance to glance the menu and at a few people's dishes, it's your standard greasy bar food so I passed. I will say that the bartender was a little rough around the edges but still she was friendly enough. Not a bad place to grab a drink but enter at your own risk after sun down.

    (3)
  • Chris W.

Good 'nuff! Nice little "corner bar" atmosphere, good food and service. Nice views from the 2 tops by the windows and New Glarus on tap. No complaints at all!

  • Lauren T.

We stopped in here while shopping to have a couple drinks and a little snack, thankfully right before a rush. There is not a whole lot of seating in here, and there is probably not a good chance of getting a window seat. Our server was nice, but incredibly slow. Waiting for mixed drinks is totally understandable, but waiting for a bottle of beer that simply needs to be opened is not cool. The beer selection was ok, nothing too fancy was available. They had Pacifico, which I appreciated. The only food we got was a small plate of nachos and they were totally not worth the 5 or 6 bucks we paid for them. They appeared to be tortilla chips with shredded cheese microwaved on top of them. I literally could have gone out and bought a bag of chips and a bag of shredded cheese for less than the price of those measly nachos. I understand that there is an up-charge at restaurants, but that was a little ridiculous. Just sayin. The ambiance was full of natural old wood and bikers, and the people were nice. Ok to hang out at I guess, but I wouldn't trust the food.

Man, I really don't know about this place. A dance club in Lake Geneva? Say what?!?! I recently went there on a Saturday around 10 p.m., and the place was super-crowded with a bunch of bachelorette parties and creepy European guys who like to hit on them. I guess I didn't realize that Lake Geneva is such a hub for bachelorette parties, but it is. Many of the girls were wearing nightclubbing outfits while some were more casual. It doesn't look like there's a dress code, so anything goes. It was super-loud in there. The had a DJ playing music, which was pretty good. People seemed to be having a good time. It wasn't really my scene, but I could see how it might be fun for a bachelorette party. If I'm in Lake Geneva again, I probably won't be stopping by Hogs & Kisses, but it was an OK time and I can see why some people might like it.

  • Carla F.

Whoa, I didn't know this place served food. Anyway, this is pretty much the only bar that offers dancing in Lake Geneva, so this place can get pretty crowded. Especially in spring and summer when a lot of tourists are in town. The last time I went was during Lake Geneva's off-season and this place was still pretty packed. Every time I go, I have seen at least two bachelorette parties. Yes, it's that kind of place. I don't know if they were just trying to be a pain in my ass the last time I was there, but if you start a tab, every time you order you have to order from the same bartender you started with. Annoying. The music is usually your typical top 40's mixed with a little 80's and 90's. If you're in LG and in the mood to dance, well...this is pretty much your only option.

The bloody mary rocked - came with a mini beer of my choice "chaser". Seriously, this may have been my fave bloody. I liked it so much, I bought a Hogs and Kisses t-shirt.

Since the weather was so nice outside last Saturday, we decided to visit Lake Geneva and get some lunch. I really wanted fudge so I was excited!! Because the weather was so nice it got very crowded and parking is limited, we just happened to be in the right spot at the right time to get a parking spot with no wait. We were trying to figure out where to eat and saw Hogs & Kisses, took a look at thier menu and thought it had something for everyone. We walked in and got a table right away. Our waitress Kimberlie was really nice and always around asking if we needed anything. She took our drink order and gave us(I should say me) a little more time to figure out what we wanted. I ended up getting the veggie burger on wheat bread with regular fries. To upgrade the chips to fries it is an extra 99 cents, well worth it. The fries were really crispy and awesome. They also offer sweet potato fries or a side salad as an upgrade too. My veggie burger was good, nothing amazing. My Aunt got the pulled pork and she said that was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches she has had in a long time, so next time I will be trying the pulled pork out!! The prices are very reasonable for a tourist place, my whole meal was under 10 bucks, I didnt think that was bad at all. We are planning another trip in August and Hogs & Kisses is a for sure on our list!!

For a crowded restaurant, we were able to get a small table right away. The burgers are decent enough for a luncheon. Waitress was attentive. Location is close to the beach area and dock and right in the middle of all the shops. The place is a solid 3-stars.

  • Kelly G.

Went on a saturday night. Insanely crowded (in a good way), loud (in a good way) with all ages and types of people. Had a great time.

    (4)
  • Aaron Y.

We only went in for an appetizer and a beer. We had the crab cakes which were decent. The bar seems like it would be a lot of fun on a weekend night.

Everywhere I go I have to check out the bar/club scene and yes that even means good old Wisconsin. I was in Lake Geneva during 4th of July weekend. The bf and I needed to booze it up a little bit and dance so this was the only place that looked decent. The drinks are fairly priced compared to Chicago. They also have 312 beer on tap which is a plus for my bf since that's his fave beer. My voda soda was pretty decent. The dj played some old school top 40 and new school top 40. We requested 2 songs that the dj didn't play. Not cool. The dance floor was empty in the begining, but we didn't care. After a few drinks we were the only people dancing and shortly after people followed. I think I boozed it up too much because I don't remember the drive back to where we were staying.

We love stopping in this place when we are in Lake Geneva. The food it pretty good and it has a fun atmosphere. The location is convenient and the prices are good.

Having been here before, and to many of the other local establishments, this place is better than average for me, being that I think I order the "right things". Burgers are good, but I go for the Crab Cake Burger which I find to be very fresh, well seasoned, and very, very good. On this visit we also had the French Onion Soup and she paired it with a salad and smiles were all I saw. If you want a good place for lunch, don't want the noise of the local sports bar, this is a good option. Great staff working here and BTW---this is a very fun place at night. Worth tipping a few back at. And they are very adept at pouring more than wine and beer----great full bar.

Very friendly staff, great service and food. Best cheese curds and Brat's I have ever had.

  • Jacquelyn G.

Under normal circumstances, this definitely wouldn't be the type of place I'd choose for a Saturday night out... but I was in town with a group of friends for one of their bachelorette parties, and this is exactly the type of establishment that screams bachelorette party. And they offer free champagne and leis to bachelorette parties, so what more could you ask for? Seriously, it's a loud, crowded meat market-type joint with a teeny tiny dance floor that's filled with a lot of drunk people. But I'll admit it--it was a good time. Would I do it again sober? Absolutely not.

    (3)
  • Christmas D.

Don't eat here. Seriously. The food is greasy and nasty, served on paper in crusty, never-get-cleaned wicker baskets and the place is filthy. The service is surly at best...if you can actually get it. Somehow I don't think they even pretend to care about the food service aspect of the place...after all, it's really just a dive-bar for bikers. Provision of food as an option seems just an afterthought to the reason people come here in the first place: to get hammered. However, I have to give them an additional star for this reason: despite my "foodie" leanings, I come from a long line of white trash. Consequently I am a bit of a sucker for the spectacle of a Harley-ridin'-weekend-warrior-DUI-in-the-making. America is a rich fucking tapestry indeed.

Given the name, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Went here for lunch with the extended family last time they came up to WI. This was back during March Madness, so I wanted to watch whatever game was on. We sat closer to the bar and no matter where I sat, I got a good view of the game. So, my first thought is that for any man, no matter how obnoxious the dancing might be, this is at least +1 on the rating. Food and service were pretty good for a bar. Since we were close to the bar, I asked out of curiosity. Beer was kind of limited for a WI bar, but they have a ton of varieties of liquor, including (wait for it) horseradish vodka. Had we not been with family, I'd have gotten a shot of that just to see what it's like. Overall, I'd go for lunch, but I like my bars to not be freakin' discos. Doubt I'd go here at night, but for a quick lunch or a beer after work, this is just fine.

    (4)
  • Aaron K.

I wanted pub food, but for $30, two burgers and two beers should amount to something. I didn't expect to pay almost $9 for frozen preformed patties. Damn. Place only gets 2 stars because the service is really good and friendly.

    (2)
  • K T.

Aside from it being college central when the dance floor opens up and the music is a bit too loud... nice bar. Great bar food. BBQ ribs were awesome. What looks like the world's smallest bbq hamburger is actually one of the tastiest ever. Bartenders were awesome.

Anything in Lake Geneva is fun to me.It reminds me f the Dells but a whole lot smaller...This is a fun little place and there is a neat little aracade down this way too....If your strolling around you should stop in.I am not sure about the food..I just like the area...

  • Thomas T.

Gave this place 3 stars just because my experience was just average. It was my first time to Lake Geneva so I yelped where to eat and this place got some good reviews and that was fine with me . As stated, it's American traditional food. Burgers and such. They had a special on oysters so I ordered half a dozen for about 7 bucks. They were alright. Not sure why I got them since i'm not really fond of it. I asked the server which burger was the best and she recommended the Paradise burger. It was pretty good. onion straws and bbq sauce. If you want fries though, it's an extra dollar. An extra 3 bucks if you want sweet potato fries. Otherwise you're stuck with a bag of lays or a small scoop of coleslaw. Um....that's pretty lame. I thought they had special chips or something but not, was a small bag of Lays.

    (3)
  • Denise S.

Went for lunch on New Year's Eve. Had never eaten here before. Should have stuck with my gut, which said a bar isn't going to serve good crab cakes. The crab cakes were the fishiest I've ever smelled or tasted. Very unappetizing. The sauce they served with them was the only saving grace because it hid the flavor. The young lady who was our server was very good, polite & attentive. Wound not be back for food.

  • Donna R.

After trekking the 21-mile walk in Lake Geneva, I was elated to see Hogs & Kisses for some food and drink, it was MUCH needed. There were just a couple of setbacks.. though our waitress was the cutest thing and super nice, the place just lacked great "customer service", if you will. So if you want a sandwich/burger you only get LAYS chips for your side, and if you want fries its $1 and if you want sweet potato fries its $3.29 -- um excuse me you are crazy!!! To have Lays chips really ticked me off inside, I am not eating a lunch box meal people. Can't you make homemade chips? I usually have no problem upgrading to Sweet Potato Fries, but never have I ever seen a $3 charge. Anywho... out comes my crab cake dinner and they were TINY.. and only on a flimsy piece of white bread. Could they not dish out a nice roll or something? Especially for $12 I was expecting WAY more. The place was lucky I was hungry. Not only was my meal small, my husbands "wrap" was the size of my fist, pretty laughable. The normal fries were pretty dang good... Drinks were strong (I do appreciate that) and food did come out really quick. The shut the kitchen down by 8 o'clock because they place starts to turn into a club AND they have a not hat policy at 10. Will I be back? Maybe.. that's the only thing I really dislike about LG, they really jack up prices cause its a tourist spot.
